Business identity
Review of registration details, company identity, available business information and consistency across supplier communications.
Remote checks & physical verification
Review a Chinese supplier's identity, stated capabilities, documents and commercial terms before you rely on a marketplace profile or send a production deposit.
A proportionate first step
Many clients already have a supplier from Alibaba, 1688, a trade fair or a referral. In that situation, commissioning another generic supplier search may be unnecessary. A focused verification can instead review whether the business identity, product information, quotation and supporting documents are consistent with the supplier's claims.
Remote verification can provide useful evidence, but it does not prove that someone has physically visited the premises or independently tested a product. The report should distinguish what was checked, what could not be established remotely and whether a factory visit or specialist review would add value.
Review of registration details, company identity, available business information and consistency across supplier communications.
Review of quotations, minimum quantities, sample charges, expected production timing and other agreed transaction details.
A written summary of findings, apparent inconsistencies, document requests, verification limitations and recommended next steps.
When an on-site check makes sense
If the order value, production complexity or supplier uncertainty justifies a physical intervention, an on-site visit can be scoped separately. Depending on access and permission, this may include observing the facility, reviewing visible production conditions, meeting supplier personnel and documenting findings through photographs or video.
Laboratory tests, accredited certification, legal opinions and formal compliance decisions remain the responsibility of qualified third parties. A supplier verification should never be represented as a guarantee against every commercial or regulatory risk.
Send the company name, marketplace profile, quotation and product details. I can recommend whether a remote review, a physical visit or a more targeted check would be appropriate.
